Gilliam Boer Goat Farms

We are very proud of our goats and our farm. It is a pleasure to share our herd of fullblood Boer Goats, percentage Boer Goats and fullblood Nubian Goats with you. We also want to share photos of this beautiful part of the country called the Smoky Mountains.

Explore our goats, our farm and East Tennessee by clicking on the images. Several of the collections have multiple levels. If it looks like a thumbnail, clicking on it will give more information and maybe a pleasant surprise or two.

Enjoy!

Breeding Bucks

Bucks used in our program this year. We extensively use AI to bring proven genetics into our herd, and we use live coverage to bucks with genetics and traits that will complement each doe.

Herd Does

Our breeding-age fullblood Boer does. These girls represent some of the best genetics available. Breeding information and ultrasound results updated 2/21/12.

Goats for Sale

Click here to see our current offerings. All goats for sale are healthy, current on vaccinations and guaranteed to breed. A 50% deposit is required to hold a goat. Updated 2/15/12.

New Kids

Kidding season and baby goats make all the hard work worthwhile. There really is nothing cuter than a baby goat. Here are a few pictures of our December kids as well as a few of our favorites from last spring's kidding season. Updated 2/16/12.

Nubian Does

We love our vocal and dramatic fullblood Nubian does. We use their butterfat-rich milk for our bottle babies and the rest is used to make cheese. We use AI to keep our herd closed and CAE negative.

Guardians of the Farm

Our Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs are the protectors of the farm. It is hard to put into words how wonderful these animals truly are and their importance to the farm. Yes, we have some cats as well - guardians of the barn.

Show Wins

We love to show our Boer Goats! It is a chance to see how our breeding program compares to others and to spend time with friends that share our love for these animals. Unfortunately we didn't show in 2011, but we will return in 2012!

Favorite Farm Pictures

We are blessed to call this beautiful part of the country home. The mountains, the family farm and the wildlife are very special to us and are woven into the fabric of our lives. Pictures can't fully capture our love for this place.
